Tom Carter, University of Winnipeg

Tom Carter is Canada Research Chair in Urban Change and Adaptation and Professor of Geography at the University of Winnipeg. Tom's research interests focus on various housing related issues including northern housing, rural and Aboriginal housing, housing need, policy development and program evaluation, the homeless, housing and an aging society and the housing needs of immigrants and refugees. In addition to his housing interests, Dr. Carter's research also focuses on urban neighbourhood change, urban revitalization, and program and service needs of the poor in inner city areas.
