Biography
An as employee of the Province of Ontario, Kevin Sullivan brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the development, implementation and review of policy initiatives and research activities. Over the past 25 years, Kevin has held a number of progressive positions with the ministries of Natural Resources, Northern Development and Mines, Finance and Municipal Affairs and Housing in both a policy and operational capacity -- dealing with a range of issues from land-use planning and development, residential tenancy regulation, property investigation and inspection, property tax regulation and policy research.
Currently, Kevin is the Manager of Social Housing with the Housing Policy Branch of the Ontario Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing. In this role, Kevin's responsibilities include overseeing and directing social housing policy projects, ensuring the effective coordination of housing research and policy development on a range of housing issues. and leading policy development, implementation and monitoring of the government's housing policies and regulatory framework, including the Social Housing Agreement, Social Housing Reform Act and Special Priority Policy for victims of domestic violence. Establishing and maintaining liaison activities and managing policy consultations with social housing partners and stakeholders and other ministries is a key component of Kevin's work with the ministry.
